Harriet Irving Gardens

Blind luck got me through most of these. I had no idea what settings I was using, I wasn't using auto because I didn't want the flash. Things came up a little green, but other than that... luck.

Best:

This one came out of my mom flicking the branches until the pollen wafted off, and pulling her hand out of frame. It was pretty cool. I had this one on my desktop for a few months, because I was pretty happy with it.

Origin Point

Recently I borrowed my grandfathers SLR. Since they got the iphone, they don't use it as much, and I wanted to see if it would help me take better pictures of paintings. But since I had it, I decided to use it when taking reference pictures. And when taking reference pictures for painting, I take a lot of images that would make terrible paintings, but make interesting photographs. This blog is about those. These are the first two that I went out seeking references, and decided I would hate to paint them, but as a diptych, they're kinda cool.
